The village Verberie is a little French town, situated in the Department of Oise and the region of Picardy. The inhabitants are called Sautriauts. In the past, the inhabitants had invented a very special game, the “Sautriauts” (those who jump). Two children would make a ball with their bodies (one’s head on the other’s feet) and they would roll down to the bottom of the hill. This game gives its name to the people who live in Verberie. Verberie is situated at 58 km North of Paris, 13 km from Compiegne, 15 km from Crepy-en-Valois and 17 km from Senlis in the middle of the Automne valley near the Oise river. |
